This enchanted battleaxe is the personal weapon of Garl Glittergold, the leader of the gnome pantheon. Arumdina is a magic weapon that grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. The axe also functions as a dancing sword and a scimitar of speed. In addition, when you attack an object with this magic axe and hit, maximize your weapon damage dice against the target.
Blessings of Garl Glittergold. If you are a gnome attuned to the axe, you gain the following benefits:
- You have resistance to damage from spells.
- The range of your darkvision increases by 60 feet.
- You gain proficiency with artisan's tools related to jewellery and tinkering.
Spells. Arumdina has 10 charges to cast spells. While the axe is on your person, you can use an action and expend 1 or more charges to cast one of the following spells (save DC 18) from it: faerie fire (1 charge), heal (6 charges), hypnotic pattern (3 charges), major image (3 charges), or protection from evil and good (1 charge). Arumdina regains 1d6 + 4 charges daily at dawn.
You can also use an action to cast one of the following spells from the axe without using any charges: dancing lights, minor illusion, prestidigitation, or speak with animals.
Sentience. Arumdina is a sentient lawful good weapon with an Intelligence of 18, a Wisdom of 16, and a Charisma of 14. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet.
The weapon communicates telepathically with its wielder and can speak, read, and understand Common and Gnomish. It can also speak with Small or smaller beasts as if using a speak with animals spell.
Personality. Arumdina speaks with a confident feminine voice, rarely missing the opportunity to provide its wielder with witty commentary.
The weapon's purpose is the advancement and protection of gnome communities, and encourages cooperation in all endeavours. Arumdina's personality is light-hearted and thoughtful, treating its wielder as one would a valued friend. Arumdina values a clear mind and quick wit, and takes joy in assisting its wielder in playing practical jokes on their companions.
Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
