Weapon (shortsword), artifact (requires attunement by a Defeat its previous owner in combat)

A masterwork of form and function. The hilt and cross-guard is crafted from bronze and polished ivory, forming the outstretched wings of an angel. Between the wings, set into the base of the blade on both sides, rubies the size of a mortal man’s eyes have been cut and shaped into crimson teardrops. The blade itself is forged of adamantite stained gold, with High Gothic runes hand-scribed along the weapon’s length detailing a long and illustrious lineage of fallen foes.

Aurum is a power sword, a holy relic that once belonged to the Blood Angels Chapter. The sword is a +3 weapon and has an activation switch built into its hilt. When the switch is activated, a powerful swath of energy surrounds the weapon. The sword is effectively a Blade of Disaster. This can be used 3 times a day, resetting at dawn or when a power cell is placed within the power bank.
