Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement by a short rest while visibly under the sky)

A magical shield of the Aabcellean nomad-warriors. It appears as a shield of metal and leather, with patterns letting out a soft magical glow and celestial chimes.

Attuning to the shield requires taking a short rest beneath the open sky. The shield provides different effects depending on the time of day or night. You retain the bonuses for 12 hours after, even if the time of day has changed. If the time of day changes during the Attunement process, you gain the bonus of the time of day you spent the most hours resting in.

If Attuned on a clear day, you gain Sol's Wind: you deflect half of incoming melee damage back to the attacker.

If Attuned on a clear night while the moon is out, you gain Mani's Direction: you deflect half of incoming ranged damage to a visible enemy of your choice within 20 feet.

If Attuned on a clear moonless night, you gain Eye of Thjazi: you resist incoming physical damage and all incoming critical physical damage is halved.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
