Weapon (light hammer), rare (requires attunement by a The wielder must have proficiency in Smith's Tools)

The Anvil of Striking was gifted to an itinerant smith that travels widely to fix and mend the broken implements of those in need and to forge arms for those that were unable to defend themselves. It can use any surface and strike against it as though it were an anvil, such as forging on the fabric of a curtain to capture its curve or even directly onto the body of a person. The surface that is struck remains unharmed and unimpacted, only the material to be shaped is affected. Though it was never meant to be used as a weapon, the same power that cushions and protects the material being used as its anvil can be sent outward and do great harm, adding force damage to its attacks. Designed for those that have no shop or home forge, it can heat the metal it works and can use any surface as it anvil, hence its name. This hammer is not sentient but it does tend to be lost when its wielder passes and later be found on the road by those whose need is great and whose wanderlust is irresistible.
