History. Akuma is an evil demon that lived thousands of years ago. A warrior of no name and an angel had to join together in order to take Akuma down. Once their battle was over the strain of joining with an angel was to much for the warrior mind and body. Now trapped in a sword, Akuma now only lives to corrupt his user and wants to take over their body, so he can once again be free to roam the world and craft a path of destruction in his wake.
Sentience. Akuma is a sentient chaotic evil weapon. It has hearing and Darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. The weapon can speak, read, and understand Common, and can communicate with its wielder telepathically. While you are attuned to it, Akuma understands every language you know.
Personality. Akuma has a single purpose: death to all. Akuma can be manipulative and inquisitive at times. He desires control of his host. It loves destruction, and preys on it however he can. He has no sense of time and cannot tell the difference in time between events that happened a day ago or ones that happened a hundred years ago.

Awakened (Enhancement) Features:
Appearance. When you allow Akuma to enhance your body, part of its power is released. Your hair stands up and a blood red aura surrounds you, the sword feels lighter, and the blade bleeds blood red smoke. You can allow Akuma to enhance your body, but in order to regain control you must make a DC 10 saving throw. Every time you use this ability the DC raises by 1
The bonus to attack and damage rolls with this weapon increases to +2. This weapon no longer is considered Heavy.
Your Strength score increases to 22.
Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
This weapon deals an additional die of damage (1d8 one-handed, 1d10 two-handed).
Exalted (Full Control) Features:
Appearance. When complete control occurs, the blade pours blood. Your aura is now pure white, your body is red, hair like fire, and veins of black run throughout your body as you are wracked with pain. You can see and hear everything but you are not in control of your own body.
The bonus to attack and damage rolls with this weapon increases to +3. This weapon's damage is now considered force damage.
When you Akuma takes control, you become hasted as if from the Haste spell. This does not require concentration and lasts until Akuma has lost control. In addition, Akuma's presence becomes overpowering. You must make a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or suffer the effects of Fear. You may make another Wisdom saving throw at the end of each of your turns to end the effect of the spell.
This weapon scores a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
At the start of each of your turns while Akuma is in control, you take 10 necrotic damage. This damage increases by 10 each round. This damage cannot be reduced in anyway. If this damage reduces your HP to zero, you die and Akuma is released into the world. You must make a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw at the beginning of each round to regain control of Akuma, if you succeed you choose either to suppress Akuma or remove his control (Enhancement). You lose the effects from him having full control.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
