This studded leather armor allows the artificer to create a special bond between themselves and one construct. While within 30 ft of the construct, upon seeing the construct take damage from an attack or spell, the wearer may use a reaction to give the construction resistance to all damage. The wearer takes equal damage to the construct as a result. Additionally, while within 30 ft of the wearer, upon seeing the wearer take damage from an attack or spell, the construct may use a reaction to give the wearer resistance to all damage. The construct takes equal damage to the wearer as a result.
If the construct is hit with melee or ranged attack or spell, if wearer is within 5 ft of the construct they may expend a reaction to grant the construct an AC boost equal to their proficiency bonus once per long rest.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
