Armor (half plate), legendary (requires attunement)

This Mitheral Half Plate armor was made of a special alloy known as Iceflex, magically enchanted ingots of refined mitheral that has been tempered by the raw fury of a Ancient White Dragon's breath. A venture to have this commission what made by an High Elven Military Captain, Felladren, whom bargained with the Ancient White Dragon known as Volotanden for the blessing of Iceflex to overcome the incursion of foes upon their lands, for both lived in harmony with one another. With the blessing from Volotanden, the creation of this armor begain. Master elven smiths, a powerful enchanter, Al Maenna, whom lead and a team of skilled hand took part in the commission of this armor that took nearly two years to craft, tailored to Felladren's requests. Upon completion, the results where even better than expected. This armor was then given it's elven name, Amon Elen, the Mountain Star. With the armor now dawned, Captain Felladren was able to help fight back the incursion of terrible beasts and monstrosities that had plagued his lands for so long. With his bow and armor, people often referred to the Captain as the Mountain Star for the iconic image of this elven archer defending and saving so many life's.

This Iceflex Mithral armor is a light, flexible metal, improved and enchanted with powerful magic. If the armor normally imposes disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks or has a Strength requirement, the mithral version of the armor doesn't. You have a +4 bonus to AC while wearing this armor. This armor has a built in Bag of Holding attached to the side of the belt in the form of a book-sized bag, and two dagger sheaths built into the side of the belt as well.

 

While attuned to this Legendary Armor, you gain the following benefits:

  • You gain Resistance to Cold Damage.
  • When fighting a Beast or Monstrosity, you gain Advantage on the Attack Roll.
  • You may cast the spell (cone of cold) once a day. You regain the use of this spell after you complete a Short Rest.
  • Cryo Shadow. Amon Elen armor was made for a skilled archer. This armor comes with 4 charges. As apart of your attack action, the Mountain Star's Half Plate armor connects with white beams of connecting bands from the gauntlet gloves to the armored sleeve up your arm. These enchanted white glowing bands gives you greater power in drawing your bow, firing it, and dealing impressive damage. When you take the Attack Action, you can expend the use of 1 of the 4 charges and gain a +10 to hit a target using a ranged weapon. Upon a successful hit, you may double you weapon's damage dice. When you hit a target with Cryo Shadow, the target must make a DC 27 Constitution Saving Throw. If the target fails, ice begins to begin manifesting around their feet, legs and lower body. The target's speed is reduced to 0 until the end of their next turn and takes 1d12 Cold Damage and 1d12 Cold Damage at the start of their next turn if they are still imprisoned in the ice that has them held. If the target succeeds, their speed is then haled until the start of their next turn and takes no Cold Damage.

Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.
