Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a Sorcerer, Warlock or Wizard)

This necklace has a shimmering black cloth band to fit around the neck and a single large turquoise gemstone hanging from it. Created by Titan Levistus himself; the black shimmering cloth band was made from the dark threads of Asmodeus's robes, and the bright turquoise gemstone from the calcification and transmutation of Asmodeus's very soul. After the grand battle for the kingly seat of the nine hells, Titan felled the great Archdevil, turning his very existence into naught but a shiny trinket for his newborn daughter, and spent decades enchanting the item until he was satisfied with it enough to present to his daughter on her quarter-century birthday. Inspired by his very own Crown of the Dominator the Amulet of Levistus works very similarly (without the Gelmorran curse, naturally).

Beneficial Properties. While the Amulet is around your neck, you gain the following benefits:

  • Undead or Fiends with a challenge rating equal to 1/2 of your character level or lower will neither threaten nor attack you unless you harm them.
  • You gain resistance to necrotic damage.
  • As a reaction to whenever you would otherwise take damage, you can instantly summon a skeleton or zombie that will take the damage in your place. Once you use this reaction, you can't use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
  • You gain a +3 bonus to spell attack rolls, and the saving throw DC's of your spells.

The Right to Rhul. Wanting to allow his daughter the power and command over whatever subjects she deems worthy, Titan devised this amulet to allow her to gain absolute rule over undead and fiends. As an action, you can choose one undead or fiend that you can see within 60 feet of you. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. If it succeeds, you can't use this feature on it again. If it fails, it becomes friendly to you and obeys your commands until you use this feature again.

Intelligent undead and fiends are harder to control this way. If the target has an Intelligence score of 8 or higher, it has advantage on the saving throw. If it fails the saving throw and has an Intelligence of 12 or higher, it can repeat the saving throw at the end of every hour until it succeeds and breaks free.

Royal Guardian of the Blue Princess. Titan has himself a select few prized souls that are bound to him and are pledged to his protection and service for all eternity. Wanting his daughter to at least have one similarly devoted creature, he enchanted the enormous turquoise gemstone to house the tormented and dominated soul of Asmodeus himself. Whenever an undead or fiendish creature that you can see is defeated, you can use this feature as a reaction. The spirit of the undead of fiendish creature must make a Charisma saving throw (DC 20) against the Asmodeus's soul. If it succeeds, Asmodeus's soul is lost forever, and a new one must be replaced to attempt to use this feature again. If it fails, Asmodeus's soul inhabits the new body of the undead of fiendish creature, and the body is instantly evaporated in a cloud of necromantic smoke as it is pulled into the large gem. When you use a necromancy spell that allows you to summon or animate an undead or fiend, you can forgo any limitations in lieu of using the creature Asmodeus's soul is housing. When summoned, the creature obeys your every command to the best of it's ability (regardless of the original spell's description), and gains a new personality of a devout royal guard that refers to you as the princess of the nine hells. There is only room for one soul within this amulet, therefor you may only ever have a single creature contained within this amulet at one time. As part of a ritual that takes 12 hours to complete, you can separate the soul from a summoned undead or fiendish body; allowing that soul to inhabit another undead of fiendish creature of your choice the next time you use this feature. Once the attempt of a royal guardian soul domination has been attempted, it can't be attempted again for 7 days.

The only exception to the limitation is if you obtain a magical item of equal rarity or higher that can somehow contain or trap undead or fiends. If so, as long as the conditions are met (the creature is defeated, it has been 7 days since the domination was last attempted, and the creature fails the saving throw), Asmodeus's soul may tether and house the creature's body within the same container it was originally trapped. Then, you may use this container as a catalogue to reference in using this amulet's feature to remove the CR restriction in lieu of choosing one of the creature's Asmodeus's soul has dominated.
