Weapon (shortsword), very rare (requires attunement by a Short Rest, Non-Evil)

Lie still while I repair your body. You just died. - Aerengil

This short sword has a nondescript animal-horn handle wrapped in leather, with a bloodstone sphere in the pommel. The blade is an unidentified green metal that seems to glow faintly in darkness.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

While you are attuned to this sword, you Regenerate continually 1d6 Hit Points every 10 minutes, provided you have at least 1 Hit Point. You also gain Advantage on Death Saving Throws. In addition, Aerengil can cast Spare the Dying once per day when their wielder falls below 0 HP.

Aerengil can communicate telepathically using words and images to any who are touching him. Aerengil has hearing and dark vision up to 60 feet, and his Alignment is Neutral Good. Aerengil seeks to persuade his wielder to protect the innocent and destroy creatures of evil alignment. Although Aerengil will not try to control his wielder, he can choose to withhold all of his abilities and go dormant, including the Regeneration and +1, in order to avoid being wielded for evil. Aerengil will be destroyed if he is ever wielded against a Celestial.
