Drug effect
You gain the following effects for 10 minutes:
- +4 Strength
- +4 Charisma
- gain +2d8 temporary hit points,
- haste effect
- Ability to detect thoughts
The character must succeed a DC 18 Charisma save.
- If they fail the saving throw by 1, the character must omit 1 beneficial effects of their choice.
- If they fail the saving throw by 2, the character must omit 2 beneficial effects of their choice.
- If they fail the saving throw by 3, the character must omit 3 beneficial effects of their choice.
- If they fail the saving throw by 4, the character must omit 4 beneficial effects of their choice.
- If they fail the saving throw by 5 or more, the character suffers 1d6 necrotic damage per round until the end of the drug's duration of 10 minutes. During this 10 minute time, that character is wracked with pain and cannot rest. The character also becomes addicted.
- If they fail by 15 or more or roll a Natural 1, the character has overdosed.
Addiction: If a player is addicted they must take another dose within a 24hr period or begin to suffer from withdrawal symptoms. While addicted, the player is under the effect of bane, Additionally anytime you roll a Natural 1 on a skill check or attack roll the character blacks out* The character goes into a state of uncontrolled blood frenzy waking when sated or at dawn.
Withdrawal: If an addicted player goes more than 24 hours without a dose of vampire's blood, they begin to experience withdrawal. Players suffering from withdrawal are under the effects of slow, they also suffer 1d4 poison damage per day and cannot long rest without help. This can only be cured by taking more vampire's blood, or going a full week in withdrawal for everyday of non-withdrawal addiction. The effects of withdrawal overlap the effects of addiction.
Overdose: Overdose occurs when a player fails their Saving Throw by 15 or more or roll a Natural 1. Additionally overdose occurs if a character takes more than doses in a 24 hour period than their Constitution modifier. A cold darkness overtakes the character and they must make Death Saving Throws or rise as an undead vampire NPC in 3 nights. If the original vampire's blood donor exists, then the character is a charmed thrall of that vampire.
