Weapon (battleaxe), very rare

This sentient axe can talk to you and others telepathically.

When a successful attack roll is made with this, the target takes an extra d12 of psychic damage.

As a bonus action, you can make a persuasion check to try to get the axe to as a bonus action taunt any creature within 10 ft of you, imposing disadvantage on its attack rolls for the rest of the round. On a failed check, the sword taunts you and you get disadvantage on attack rolls for the rest of the round.

Whenever the axe is in the presence of a humanoid that it has never met before, roll a d6. On a 1-2, the axe casts vicious mockery targeting the new humanoid. On a 3, the axe flies out and attacks the target repeatedly (with STR 18) until you make a successful persuasion check, the target dies, or the target makes a successful attack roll against the axe (with AC 15). On a 4-6, nothing happens.

Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
