What appears to be a simple, tarnished iron ring.
Activation:
Speaking the word "Sting" while picturing a blade will activate the ring. The user is dealt 1 damage and the blood that would pour from the wound is turned into a foot long thin blade. It can be activated through a glove or gauntlet, as long as liquid could move through the object), but any cloth will have stain of blood after it dissipates.
The verbal component is necessary, and has to be at least a whisper. If the user intends it to be quiet, the command would could be heard with a 20 DC perception check and heard clearly with a 25 DC perception check.
Properties: It has a AC of 20 with 2 Hit Points. After one attack or 1 hour, the blade will dissipate into a trickle of blood, leaving no other evidence of the weapon. The damage counts as magic for damage reduction purposes.
The ring can be activated repeatedly, as long as the user can pay the one HP price.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
