You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls while using this weapon.
In addition, when you become the target of a ranged attack that uses arrows or crossbow bolts, and the projectile is not magical, if this weapon is in your hand, you can use your reaction to slice the arrow/bolt in two. This property can be used three times, and regains all uses after the next dawn.
