This Astrolabe is visually textured like the night sky, dotted with stars to match. As the astrolabe moves in space, the stars reflected on the astrolabe change.
The astrolabe was gifted to Greyburg by the arcane university, and entrusted to him for the purpose of studying the stars and their relation to fate and magic.
While in uncommon form, the astrolabe has the following benefits: The person attuned to this artifact knows their exact location as long as they have access to the night sky. Additionally, the astrolabe has a maximum of 5 fate charges. At the beginning of combat and at the top of every round thereafter, make up to five predictions on how the round will go. Examples: "That skeleton will critically strike me", "The paladin will kill that zombie with a smite". The more specific the prediction, the more charges are awarded upon the conditions being met. As a reaction, you can spend any number of charges causing an effect corresponding to the number of charges spent. Every time a charge is gained, the artifact also gains progress towards its next rarity. The astrolabe needs 50 more charges to progress to rare.
1 charge: give any ally within vision advantage on their next attack or saving throw, or give any enemy within vision disadvantage on their next attack or saving throw.
3 charges: after an attack or saving throw is made within vision, you can cause the roller to re-roll. Choose which roll is used.
5 charges: The tides of fate shift ever so slightly enough to cause supernatural luck. Restart a turn.
