Weapon (battleaxe), legendary (requires attunement)

Properties; Versatile (1d8/1d10), thrown (40/80)(1d8), silvered

  • Moonblood When you invoke a crimson rite you can invoke a second rite. When you do this you take double damage from any hemocraft dice.
  • Bloodbiter As a reaction, whenever Moonhowl hits an enemy (or is otherwise in contact with an organic being) you can teleport yourself to an unoccupied space around the creature, emerging with your throwing hand grasping Moonhowl. Roll 1 hemocraft die and subtract that number from the HP of both the player character and the target. Constructs cannot be targeted in this way.
  • Superlycan Prerequisite; lycanthropy. As a bonus action when in your lycanthropy form you can choose to grow into a larger size category. Doing so costs you HP from a hemocraft die, and 1HP every round after that. The damage taken increases by 1HP for every time you grow additionally larger. This trait can be deactivated as a free action.
  • Returning Weapon The weapon returns to the hand of the attuned wielder as a bonus action.
  • Wakened Dragons Wrath Weapon As an action, you can unleash a 30-foot cone of destructive energy from the weapon. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 damage of the type dealt by the dragon’s breath weapon (necrotic) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Once this action is used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn.
