This pair of bracers forms an arcanomagnet; the magical bracer is a brilliant gold that reflects light in wondrous prismatic hues. The antimagical bracer is a dull grey that seems to grow dimmer the brighter the surrounding light. By creating pockets of magical and antimagical energy you can bend the weave causing magic to veer off its intended trajectory.
Whenever any of the following targets a creature or point you can see within 30 feet you, you can, as a reaction, redirect the spell/attack:
- A ranged spell attack;
- An attack from a magical ranged weapon;
- A ranged weapon attack that uses magical ammunition;
- Or a spell with an area of effect centered on a point.
You can cause a ranged attack to target a different target within 10 feet of the original target (after the attack roll is made but before the outcome is determined). Alternatively, you can move the area of effect’s point of focus by up to 10 feet in any direction. After you do either of these, roll a d6. On a 1 or 2, the rings become demagnetized until the following dawn.
