Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a Artificer)
The Artificer Alloy is a sphere of metal, swirling in colour between filigree gold and dark black iron. It is surprisingly light to hold and approximately 8 inches in diameter.
The artificer can use the Alloy when attempting to craft an item of 3 feet by 3 feet in size. The complexity of the item will affect the DC of the task as decided by the DM. If successful, the crafter can choose to make the item up to 5 times lighter or heavier than an item made of mundane materials.
An item crafted with the Alloy will condense to a sphere of metal after 24 hours.
If used as the target of a catapult, the sphere will return to the artificer after the spell is affected.
