Aegis of Degmar

[This is a lesser version of Degmar's Aegis, the shield carried by the legendary Paladin Degmar Olbrecht]
Attunement: requires a Good aligned Paladin or Cleric of Pelor* otherwise functions as a normal shield.
Description: A Round medium sized shield bearing the colors and heraldry of the Church of Pelor*.

Functions as a normal Shield of it's type
Attunement allows the following ability
Warding Flare Variant
You can interpose divine burst of sunlight between yourself and an attacking enemy. When you are attacked by a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll, causing light to flare before the attacker before it hits or misses. An attacker that can’t be blinded is immune to this feature.

This feature can be used a number of times equal to the  Wisdom OR Charisma modifier (whichever is greater and a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
