Alakast, The Hate Breaker (HexBlade Weapon)

This magic weapon was a gift from Nidrama to Surabar Spellmason, a gift intended to give the wizard an edge against the demonic legions under Nabthatoron's command. Several decades after Surabar's death, a group of bandits stole Alakast from the wizard's tomb. These tomb robbers met a grisly end only a few days later on the Demonskar's rim, and for some time Alakast lay forgotten in these ruins until it was "discovered" by a coven of hags. 

Sentience. Alakast is a sentient, good weapon with an Intelligence of 8, a Wisdom of 14, and a Charisma of 12. It can see and hear out to 120 feet and has darkvision. It communicates by transmitting emotions to its wielder, although on rare occasions it uses a form of telepathy to inspire its wielder. It seems to have been amused by King Jarod.

The staff has 10 charges. When you hit with a melee attack using it, you can expend up to 3 of its charges. For each charge you expend, the target takes an extra 1d6 force damage.

This staff is a potent weapon versus evil outsiders. Any evil-aligned fey, fiend, or celestial struck by a Alakast (Melee) takes an additional 2d6 force damage. 

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
