Arm Mounted Grappling Hook Launcher

A vambrace of tough leather & intricate stitchings, adorned with mechanical contraptions of an artifice nature. it's adjustable fitting allows it to be worn on top of gauntlets from armour.

when you point your arm with the launcher equipped at a surface that you can see within 60ft of you, you can use an action to fire the grapple, wherein it successfully clings to the surface, & reel yourself in to the attached point (or to any adjacent ledges if it attached to a surface edge, for instance). The grapple may then detach from the surface at will.

you can also choose to do this using a bonus action, but must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. On a fail you take 1d8 bludgeoning damage as you impact the attached surface.

The launcher can also be used to either pull yourself towards a creature or to pull a creature towards you. as a bonus action, choose a creature you can see within 30ft of you, that creature must succeed on a DC 13 + 'your dex mod' Dexterity Saving Throw (provided that it is no smaller than one size smaller than you), otherwise you will be pulled towards it, landing on the nearest adjacent space to the creature. Alternatively, you may choose for the creature to have to succeed on a DC 13 + 'your str mod' Strength Saving Throw (provided that it is no larger than one size larger than you), otherwise the creature is pulled towards you, landing on the nearest adjacent space to you. A creature can willingly fail these saving throws.

You may also target creatures between 30ft & 60ft away from you that you can see but their saving throws will be made with advantage.
