Animated Tools

This immaculate set of Artisan's Tools animate of their own accord. They function as Carpenter's Tools, Mason's Tools, or Smith's Tools.

 

As an action, you can command these tools to craft a nonmagical item or construction made of wood, stone, or metal. Provided there is a sufficient supply of raw materials, the tools will autonomously craft the item in ⅔ the time that it would take a single person. If they run out of materials or otherwise prevented from continuing, they will neatly organize themselves and wait patiently until able to resume. Once completed, the tools be used this way again for a duration equal to the time spent crafting.

 

If the tools are more than 100 feet from their attuned owner and are not engaged in construction, they will march in single file towards their owner at a rate of 30 feet per round (on initiative count 0) or 36 miles per day. They will take the most direct route possible, but are able to navigate around obstacles. If completely obstructed they will carefully and harmlessly disassemble any nonmagical wood, stone, or metal barriers into raw materials over the same amount of time that it would take to craft them.
