In the Realm of Babylon, Many legends have risen up since the time of the Cataclysm. This blade is a Rare Exception due to it's origins of existing long before, and surviving til present day. The Ancestral Fang was the companion of the First Blood Hunter, Jhaan-ru. Records of it's construction are lost to the flow of time, but it is speculated that the Blade was created by the Ancient Elves.
This Long sword is Well made, adorned with two Grey and black Gemstones on the ends of the finger guard, The pommel in the shape of a wolf's tail, the blade emerging from the wolf's Mouth. The blade itself is one of the first known weapons to be constructed using Dawn metal, a very difficult metal to work with. In addition to Dusk Metal, few smiths today are capable of producing weaponry using them.
The last known wielder of this Magnificent blade was an Order Member Known as Vedrick, having been passed down from Pack leader to Pack leader as a Right of Passage.
When attuning to this blade, The wielder must spend a week calling to the spirits held within the gemstones, and gaining their trust. (DM's may rule as to what form this process takes)
You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. The weapon does 1 additional damage die when attacking. In addition, this blade’s construction also lowers the threshold for critical hits to 18.
Upon landing a critical hit with this blade, the edge carves deep into the victims flesh, causing severe hemorrhage. After the total damage is calculated, the wound will continue to bleed for 1d4 rounds. This bleed effect is equal to 1/2 the damage of the crit.
The user gain's the ability to summon 2 Alpha dire wolves (see Alpha Dire Wolf (Babylon) for stat block) The Male is a rather large black wolf, with red eyes. The female is a slightly smaller White wolf, with blue eyes. The gemstones on the Finger guard disappear once summoned.
The Wolves remain under the wielders control until they are brought to 0 hp, or until they are called back with a Bonus Action.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
