Weapon (longbow), legendary (requires attunement)

Crafted by Artemis after her brothers death, this magical bow contains the remnants of the soul of the Human god of Archery, music, and the sun, Apollo.

You gain a +3 to attack and damage rolls made using this magic weapon.

Illuminating. When you draw back the string on Arcus Lux, a bright arrow made of light materializes on the string, scintillating with golden glitter like a potion. When you hit a creature with one of these light arrows, it deals an extra 3d4 radiant damage and sticks into the body of the creature. You can have a maximum of 3 of these arrows stuck at a time, but they need not be on the same creature. While an arrow is stuck into a creature, it shines bright light out to a range of 10 feet, and dim light for another 10 feet. Any invisible creature within this bright light is made visible. A Dispel Magic spell cast on a creature stuck with arrows will remove any light arrows stuck in the creature.

While an arrow is stuck into a creature, you may detonate it as a bonus action on your turn, forcing the creature to make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the start of your next turn and take 2d6 radiant damage.

Sentience. Arcus Lux is a sentient, chaotic good longbow with an Intelligence of 17, a Wisdom of 9, and a Charisma of 21. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet, and truesight to a range of 30 feet. It can speak, read, and understand Common and Celestial. Arcus Lux has a good natured personality, and is very single-minded and headstrong, but doesn't complain when the wielder doesn't follow its advice. It compliments its wielder when they manage to hit a difficult shot, and gives (sometimes misplaced) advice when it feels it should, regardless of if it was asked.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Radiant, Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
