The ascendant long bow is weapon forge specifically for monks to harass their ki through the strings of the bow. By allowing your ki to flow through the bow you can manipulate the arrows in mystical ways, using some of the monk features from ranged.
While this weapon is equipped you can use the following features.
Ki Arrow. When you damage a target with a piercing arrow, you can change the damage type to acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison.
Flurry of Arrows Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make two addition shots as a bonus action. These additional shots use your martial dice for damage.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
