An ornate leather scroll holder. These scroll holders were created so that the monastery on the elemental plane of air could communicate across any plane in their pursuit of the rod of seven parts and the protection of each. One scroll holder is in the plane of air so that the other can send information back. The agents spread across the planes in search of the rods parts each holding one scroll holder.

An Aarakocra will pluck a feather and communicate up to 50 words. They will then place their feather into the scroll holder and seal it. The message will be sent. Each reply is carried on the wind and gives a faint smell of home.

Each feather pulled will reduce the Aarakocra's flight speed by half and will only be able to used up to 2 times a day until they have finished a long rest.
