This staff has 3 charges.

The staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff. On a hit, it deals damage as a normal quarterstaff, and you can expend 1 charge to gain temporary hit points equal to the amount of damage done to the target. In addition, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or have its maximum number of hit points reduced by the amount of damage taken. This effect lasts for 1 hour.

This staff regains all expended charges daily at dawn.
