This black leather bound book is lined with immaculate blue crystal trimming, framing the golden edges of the paper within. This grimoire once belonged to the powerful archmage Sebastian Fellweaver, known as the Plane Shepard, who used an ancient crystal known as Arnikhat, meaning "Burning Stone"" in draconic, which is a bright blue crystalline substance that is the solidified form of Aethyr, the first form of unrefined arcane magic given by the Sovereign gods, to empower and enhance his own personal grimoire, and although his demise is unknown, most of his spell book remains intact and the magic it carries with it.
You can use the grimoire as your spellbook, and you can scribe new spells into it as normal. Much of this tome is blank, but the following spells are recorded in the first pages of the tome: Cause Fear, Charm Monster, Counterspell, Dispel Magic, Evard's Black Tentacles, Greater Invisibility, Hold Monster, Infestation, Magic Missile, Raulothim's Psychic Lance.
In addition, while using this book as your spellbook, you can replace up to 3 spells from your prepared list of spells when you finish a short rest. Once this property has been used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
