Aelfric created this firey cloak for his champion. His first champion, Atiya used it to help close the portal to the fire plane and created Risvandorin to protect it. Once secure, they created a massive cathedral in honor of Aelfric and placed their cloak in a secret hiding place underneath the building. In 500 CE the cathedral burned down mysteriously. Aelfric's Bastion has since been lost to time, waiting for someone to come take up the mantle of a champion to the god of fire.
While you wear this cloak, it projects an illusion that makes you appear to be standing in a place near your actual location, causing any creature to have disadvantage on attack rolls against you. If you take damage, the property ceases to function until the start of your next turn. This property is suppressed while you are incapacitated, restrained, or otherwise unable to move.
Dormant:
- You gain a +1 bonus to AC while wearing the cloak.
- You can add a +1 to spell attack and save DC's
- Once per turn, whenever you cast a spell, you can add an extra 1d8 radiant to the damage of the spell.
Awakened:
- The cloaks bonus to AC increases to +2.
- Your spell attack and save DC's increase to +2
- Your spell damage increases to 2d8 radiant damage.
Exalted:
- The cloaks bonus to AC increases to +3
- Your spell attack and save DC's increase to +3
- Your spell damage increases to 3d8 radiant damage.
