You gain +2 to AC and can breathe both air and water while wearing this armor.

The armor has 4 charges. You can spend 1 charge to automatically send up to two telepathic messages to up to 2 creatures that have an Intelligence equal to or higher than 9.  You can spend 2 charges to either cast hold person or to cause one of your hands to transform into a slimy, scaly aboleth tentacle for 2 minutes. While this is active, you can use the tentacle in an 10 ft reach unarmed strike that deals an extra 1d4 bludgeoning damage and 1 psychic damage.  You can spend 4 charges to not only sprout an extra alien eye (giving you darkvision out of a range of 60 ft) but also make it that if a creature communicates telepathically with you, you learn a few of the creature's greatest desires if you can see the creature and your hands transform into tentacles until the end of your turn, allowing you to be able to use the tentacles in a multiattack of two 10 ft reach unarmed strikes with the tentacles. When the unarmed strikes hit, they deal an extra 1d4 + your Intelligence modifier bludgeoning damage plus 2 psychic damage. 

The armor regains 1d4 charges at the start of each dawn.

Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
