Created by artificers to serve as a horseless alternative to mounts, the Arcano-mechanical steed features a saddle which can comfortably fit two medium creatures, and a arcane engine powered by a decanter of endless water and a ever burning rock from the Plane of Elemental Fire. Depending on the race of the creator the headpiece of the AM steed may resemble a variety of different animals or monsters and may use wheels or legs.
The steed has 62 Hit points, AC of 13, with immunity to psychic and poison damage. The steed is also resistant to all physical damage. It is unaffected by healing spells, if damaged, the steed can only regain health through use of the mending spell or a successful tinkering check which regain 3d6 hit points. If reduced to 0 hit points the steed explodes dealing 2d6 fire damage plus 1d6 force damage to all creatures within 5ft. If the broken pieces are collected, then the steed can be reconstructed for half the cost of construction in a quarter of the normal time.
For the purposes of feats and magical items such as the Horseshoes of Speed, the Arcano-mechanical steed is treated as a regular mount and gain bonuses as normal.
The steed has 3 charges, expending 1 charge increases the speed from its base of 50ft to 80ft for 1 hour. Expending 2 charges increases the speed to 100ft for 10 rounds. At normal speed the vehicle can run for 8 hours a day before the strain of excessive use begins to threaten the arcane components.
