Armor (plate), legendary (requires attunement by a Artificer)
  • Resistance to force damage
  • Immunity to the restrained condition
  • Grants the wearer the ability to cast the following spells once per long rest each: misty step, counterspell, and thunderwave (at 5th level)

Special Ability: Arcane Vortex The wearer can use an action to activate the suit's special ability, creating a swirling vortex of magical energy around them for 1 minute. The vortex grants the following benefits:

  • All spells cast by the wearer are treated as if they were cast using a 9th-level spell slot
  • The wearer gains resistance to all damage types
  • The wearer can cast the following spells at will: shield, absorb elements, and blur
  • The wearer gains a fly speed of 40 feet

Once the special ability is used, it cannot be used again until the next dawn.

The Arcane Vortex Suit is a powerful and versatile armor that enhances the wearer's spellcasting abilities and provides a variety of defensive options. Its special ability can be a game-changer in combat, allowing the artificer to unleash devastating spells while remaining highly mobile and resilient. However, the suit's power comes with a high level of risk, as it can only be used once per day and leaves the wearer vulnerable after the effect wears off.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
