Afferte Aurora was a blade once wielded by Giant Dyatri, in her last stand against the Obsidian Dragon Lord she shattered the blade of the weapon within the Tyrants flesh before ultimately perishing. The hilt, which is sentient, knows that it can never be reunited with its original crystal blade. And due to this it has become a shell of it's former self. Though Afferte Aurora has been broken, it still retained the properties of a sun blade. While holding Afferte Aurora, you gain a +2 bonus to your spell save DC.
The weapons holds 12 charges. The weapon regains 1d8 + 2 expended Charges once per long rest.
The sword's luminous blade emits bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. The light is sunlight. While the blade persists, you can use an action to expand or reduce its radius of bright and dim light by 5 feet each, to a maximum of 30 feet each or a minimum of 10 feet each.

When the creature takes the attack action, it can use a bonus action to make a melee weapon attack with the wings with a reach of 10 feet. If the wing attack hits, the target takes 1d6 plus your spellcasting ability modifier in bludgeoning damage and must make a successful Strength saving throw (DC 21) or fall prone. When the spell ends, the wings disappear and target falls if it was aloft. This feature requires an action to cast and last 10 minutes.

It has hearing and normal vision out to a range of 60 feet. The weapon communicates by transmitting emotions to the creature carrying or wielding it.
Personality. The Afferte Aurora's special purpose is to regain it's former glory and grow stronger, not so much because it wants to free the land from evil but because it believes that a weapon that cannot harm is useless. The weapon secretly fears it will be lost to history, and despises that Lux Cealum was created and refuses to never accomplish anything of note.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
