Forged from an iron rich piece of petrified bamboo found near Arashiyama forest, this unique +2 katana has a yellowish blade that, with the hamon pattern, deeply resembles Moso bamboo, its Habuki has a tiger wandering through a bamboo forest engraved on both sides of it, and due to it beind a hidden blade has no Tsuba. It's Saya and Tsuka are both made of a single piece of the finest Arashiyama Moso wood. Lastly, to the naked eye this sword looks as if nothing more than a simple bo staff when sheathed. Because of which opponents must make a DC 16 wisdom saving through when the sword is drawn or be surprised for the round, losing their turn and the initiative order.
While attuned to the sword, your intelligence and wisdom scores rise by a point each, gain the Alert feat, get advantage on all combat and non combat rolls when within 120 ft of a bamboo plant, and can move through rough terrain unhindered. This sword also has improved critical hits (18-20).
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
