This very light, flexible and skin-tight armor looks like just a coating of fiery ash that couldn't protect anyone, yet this is far from the truth. It grants the AC of 17 + Dexterity Modifier and resistance to fire damage.
However, while it may be protective against single strikes, the armor doesn't do well under continuous stress. If you are hit more than once per round, Ashen Skin loses 1d4 of its AC for each additional hit. Taking any fire damage reduces the AC by 1
At the end of each round, the Ashen Skin restores its AC by 1 if you weren't hit that round. Some of the Armor's integrity can be restored by intense cold. Taking at least 5 Cold damage restores the Ashen Skin's AC by 1d4
If the armor's AC is reduced to 10 (the minimum) it deals 2d12 fire damage to the wielder at the end of each of their turns until they restore the AC to at least 13, or until they take the armor off (1 action)
The breastplate and shoulder protectors of this armor are made of leather that has been stiffened by being boiled in oil. The rest of the armor is made of softer and more flexible materials.
Notes: Resistance: Fire, Bonus: Armor Class
