Alchemical Flare CC:A

These small paper tubes are a kind of pyrotechnic that produces a brilliant light and a loud pop. Flares are used for signaling, illumination, or defensive countermeasures in a pinch. A single flare can be colored as desired when created, has has a short fuse that allows for up to a second of delay. If thrown or launched into the air before detonation, a flare creates a 40 foot radius of dim light. A flare may be used used as an improvised weapon with a ranged attack, and deals 1d4 fire damage.

This item is intended for use with the Crafting Competence series: Alchemist feat. It is a bronze level recipe, and so available for research from levels 1-4.
