Armor (scale mail), rare

The armor of the demon knight grants warlocks and necromancers great spellcasting abilities, as well as a powerful magic weapon. It is a rare suit of medium full plate scale mail armor that when warn, has the appearance of a horned creature with five long tallons on the gauntlets and boots. There are five pieces to the suit of armor (including the weapon), each of the pieces has different abilities. The infernal helmet. Grants the user 90 feet of darkvision and the ability of read minds. The body armor (brestplate/shoulder pads/back shield). Grants the user an ac of 21. If the ac is already 21 it does not increase. It also grants the user a frightful aura that can be turned on or off with a bonus action, and the creature has to make a wisdom saving throw or have fear until the warlock or necromancer's next turn. The gauntlets. Grants the user a strength of 21 when warn, it also grants the user the ability to cast fireball without using spell slots, but the ability can only be used three times a day and will recharge after 2 days. The gauntlets also grant a claw attack that deals 3d8 slashing damage and 3d6 fire damage. The boots. Grants the user a speed of 50 feet. The greatsword weapon. Allows the wielder to cast spells at double the range, and an attack with the greatsword that deals 4d8 slashst damage and 2d8 fire damage.

This armor consists of a coat and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.
