A small silver pendant attached to a braided silver chain. The pendant bares the image of a honking goose. While attuned, the amulet allows you to change your voice to any voice you have heard previously. Any creature that can understand or speak at least one language, within 90 feet of the attuned creature, will hear the false voice. The amulet works with any language the attuned creature knows.
A successful DC 15 investigation (intelligence) check can identify that the voice is not coming from the correct source. Any creature making the investigation check must have probable cause to do so. If a creature successfully rolls the investigation check, a player may counter role a deception check, DC 16 to trick the creature into believing that the voice came from the correct source. The attuned creature may roll a deception check prior to using the amulet to attempt to ensure its success.
Expend one charge if you use the item to tell a lie. Adversely, restore a charge when you use it to tell a truth. If the number of charges exceeds its maximum, the attuned creature is cursed, and has its voice permanently, changed to the voice being used. Every time the user tells a lie, their voice becomes that of a honking goose. Once this occurs, the amulet explodes into goose feathers that stick to the body of the attuned creature for 24 hours.
