This +2 shield has a button on the handle. You can use a bonus action to press the button, which causes the shield to become magically fixed in place as long as the button is held down. It can be released as a free action. The shield can hold up to 8,000 pounds of weight. More weight causes the shield to deactivate. A creature can use an action to make a DC 30 Strength check, moving the fixed shield up to 10 feet on a success. When the shield is fixed, you gain half cover and a +2 AC to ranged attacks and charge attacks from the direction you are facing. However, you do not gain the benefits of wielding a shield against opponents you are not facing. If you take damage when you are holding down the button, make a Concentration check (DC is half the damage dealt or 8 - Con Mod + Consecutive Rounds Active, whichever is higher) or let go of the button, deactivating the magic holding it in place. Attacks made with the shield fixed in place are made with disadvantage. Casting spells are unaffected provided there is no somatic component, or one hand is free.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Utility
