Crafted from the jet black branches of the Gulthias Tree, an arrow of blood drinking is a magical arrow +1 that deals 1d6+1 damage on a successful hit, and 1d4 blood draining damage each round thereafter (to a maximum of 3). When an arrow of blood drinking hits its target, it attaches itself deeper with thin "roots" that burrow into the creature. These roots facilitate the blood draining process and also make removing an arrow of blood drinking a delicate process. Creatures attempting to remove the arrow must make a Wisdom (Medicine) Check DC15 or take an additional 1d4+1 damage.
Once an arrow of blood drinking has drained its target for three rounds or been successfully pulled out, it loses its magical abilities. Note that arrows that remain in the target, however, must still be successfully removed with a Wisdom (Medicine) Check DC15 or the effected creature takes 1d4+1 damage.
If a creature is slain by an arrow of blood drinking and the arrow is left alone, it will sprout and grow into a twig blight within a month.
