Many say a dagger is a rogue's best friend, and this one is no different. Crafted to be the ultimate assassination weapon, the Assasin's short blade can be held and used traditionally or fashioned to be worn comfortably under a user's wrist.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Improved Sneak Attack. Once per day, the user can use a bonus action to invoke the shortsword to cause its blade to glow bright red. The next attack made with this weapon is made with advantage and a successful hit is automatically treated as a critical hit.
Grooved. The blade is designed to hold onto poisons. Whenever poison is applied to the blade, it retains the poison for up to an extra minute. Additionally, the blade retains its poison, allowing you to hit one additional creature before the poison wears off.
Finder of Secrets. As a rogue's best friend, it also helps a thief locate hidden compartments and secret spaces. Whenever you strike the pommel of the sword against a surface, it will produce a resounding ring upon hitting a secret door, latch, room, or lock. You may also use this feature to cast the knock spell once per day on any locked object you strike.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, rogue, Utility, Exploration, Combat, Finesse, Light, Vex
