This celestially-enchanted staff takes the appearance of an ornate, golden longbow with an incorporeal string of shimmering silver light. It cannot be used as a normal longbow.
Being attuned to this staff changes the way Eldritch Blast functions; you no longer require a verbal component for the spell, but you cannot cast it unless you are wielding this staff and you must use your other hand to satisfy the somatic component. Additionally, it now deals radiant damage instead of force damage. When you cast Eldritch Blast in this way, you appear to 'fire' the bow, summoning a golden arrow of light in the process.
If a character of Evil alignment attempts to attune to this staff or a character attuned to it becomes Evil, the string of light bursts, dealing 2d8 radiant damage to that character. The staff then becomes a nonmagical longbow without a string or a nonmagical quarterstaff (at the DM's discretion.)
