An arrow of seeking is a magic weapon designed to strike a target, regardless of their cover or position. When you use this piece of ammunition for an attack, you don’t make an attack roll. Instead, choose one creature you have seen before. If that creature is within 600 feet of you, the arrow flies toward that creature, moving around corners if necessary and ignoring three-quarters cover and half cover. If the target is within the weapon’s range and there is a path large enough for the arrow to travel to the target, the target must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, the target takes damage as if it had been hit by an attack with this piece of ammunition. If the target is out of range, or if the arrow cannot find a path large enough to travel to the target, the target automatically succeeds.
Other types of magic ammunition of this kind exist, such as bolts of seeking meant for a crossbow, though arrows are most common.
