Here is a simple, if elegant, three-foot curtain-rod. If placed against a solid surface (like a wall, or even a floor - so long as there is enough room for the curtains to fall open), the rod will sprout beautiful curtains, six feet long, and three feet wide. The curtains then part to reveal a magical closet. Within are many shifting shelves, drawers and coat-racks boasting a wide range of clothing, other possessions, and standing room for 2, medium-sized creatures.
The clothing produced and stored by the closet can only be worn by the person who steps inside and takes it. When sold or given to someone else, the clothing item vanishes. Other items are unaffected.
A living creature can survive within the closet (once closed) for an hour before air runs out. If the rod is broken, the closet’s contents fall harmlessly to the ground in the nearest open space.
Placing the closet inside an extradimensional space created by a bag of holding, handy haversack, or similar item (or vice versa) instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within 10 feet of the gate is sucked through it and deposited in a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way only and can’t be reopened.
