Avarice has the ability to consume and utilize up to 3 magical attributes of another magic weapon. If an attribute beyond the 3rd is consumed the attuned creature may choose to replace any attribute previously consumed. Consuming an attribute removes it from the target weapon, making it mundane (unless the weapon has more than one attribute, in that case only the consumed attribute is removed the others remain). Even without any consumed attributes, Avarice functions as a magic longsword.
DMs, you may choose to have the sword initially contain 0-3 attributes upon the player receiving it.
Backstory: Avarice was forged by a legendary dwarven smith in an attempt to sate the greed of a tyrannical red dragon. The blade is finely polished steel with lightly engraved flames encasing the fuller, the crossguard is golden and shaped to appear like four draconic talons, the hilt is long enough to comfortably grasp with two hands and wrapped in exquisite black leather engraved with a dragon, finally a simple pommel engraved with draconic runes spelling avarice.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
