This whip was meticulously woven together strand by strand and infused with necrotic energies throughout the entire process. The weapon gives off a vibrant purple light as if the weapon itself can’t contain the energies it was bound with. When wielding this weapon you can see a faint but unique outline around each creature.
The whip functions as a +1 ghost touch whip
You can as an action attempt to wrap the whip around a target and mark them
If a creature with a soul dies while marked the soul of that creature does not ascend to a higher plane but instead is trapped in the whip, the whip can hold a total of 5 souls at a time however stronger souls may take more space than usual
Marked targets when struck by an ‘eldritch blast’ take additional damage equal to double the number of souls stored. This effect can happen once per turn per enemy
by expending a set amount of souls held in the item you can perform several effects
