Weapon (warhammer), legendary (requires attunement)

This is a warhammer with a head in the form of a silver comet wrought of pure adamantine and connected to a shaft of fine carved ebony. When attuned to a character, a spectral chain and shackle appears connecting the handle of the weapon to the attuned character's wrist. This chain cannot be severed by any means other than a wish spell. At that point, the attuned character suffers 2d10 force damage. While unattuned to this hammer, it is a standard +3 warhammer. When attuned, it gains a thrown range of 70ft, and deals an extra 2d8 damage to objects, it deals an extra 3d8 when being used against angelic creatures. When not in the hand of the attuned, they can yank on the chain as a bonus action to be instantly pulled to the weapon and have it in the ready position. This is a backwards returning quality where you return to the weapon instead of it to you. Also, you may choose to make an attack with reach as a standard attack with this weapon. The chain is spectral and only the attuned may make contact with it. When you lose attunement to this weapon (either by dying and resurrecting or by having the arm that has the shackle amputated above the wrist) you may never bond with the same adamantine meteor again. An intense longing is forced upon the recently unattuned. They feel that with the loss of the hammer came a loss of a piece of themselves that they can never get back or replace.

Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
