Angurvadal, also known as the Stream of Anguish, is a +1 large greatsword. The magical weapon has the following properties: heavy, finesse and two-handed.
Once attuned the sword deals an additional 4d8 lightning damage on a hit and you cannot suffer exhaustion while the weapon is drawn.
Because of Angurvadal's size the weapon's heavy property is exacerbated. You must succeed a DC 18 Strength (Athletics) check to draw this weapon. Creatures that are large or larger automatically succeed this check. Small or tiny creatures automatically fail. Once a creature has succeeded this check they can draw the weapon without making the check unless their size changes or their hit points reach 0, at which point they have to make the check to draw the weapon again.
Monstrosities can choose to attune to the item as an action.
The sword was inscribed with runic letters, which blazed with lightning in time of war, but gleamed with a dim light in time of peace. If washed in the River Styx the sword becomes nonmagical, the runes disappear and any attunement to it ends.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
