Armor of the Frost Wolf is a full suit of finely crafted Mithril plate armor and helmet that incorporates the fur of a Frost Wolf. The armor bestows a few different powers upon the wearer. First they are able to travel across snow at their normal speed, leaving no tracks. Next, the armor also enables the wearer to travel at half normal speed across the most slippery ice (horizontal surfaces only, not vertical or sharply slanted ones) without falling or slipping. Armor of the Frost Wolf warms the wearer, as if they were affected by an endure elements (cold) spell. Finally the wearer can cast Cone of cold twice per day, as per a Frost Wolf, doing 5d6 damage in a 35 foot cone range. The Helmet, a stylized Frost Wolf's head, has a special visor that protects the wearer's eyes from snow blindness. The visor darkens naturally in bright light and clears in darker environments.
Max Dex bonus in increased by 2, and armor check penalties are decreased by 3.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
Notes: Advantage: Dexterity Ability Checks, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
