Weapon (greataxe), legendary

Somethings just shouldn't exist. This is one of them. This intimidating weapon is a normal axe, but the axe-head is scaly and has a mouth on the slicing side. When you attack with this axe, you gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and does an extra 2d8 piercing damage. If you kill a creature that is small or smaller, it is swallowed by the axe, and digested in it's extra-dimensional stomach, never to be seen. As an action, you can make the axe's tongue come out at grapple an object or creature within 15 feet of you that you can see. The object must be 2 ft x 3ft x 2ft or smaller. The creature must be small or smaller, and must make a DC 13 strength saving throw. If they fail, it is trapped in the axe's stomach for 3 rounds, after which it is spit out, taking 5d6 acid damage. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all actions at dawn.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
