The Arcane Energy Longsword usually appears as just a cylinder shaped longsword handle with a button and no blade. When the button is pressed, a cylindrical blade of arcane energy of the user's choice the length of a longsword blade emerges from the handle. In addition, the blade sheds a bright light in a 5-foot radius and dim light for an additional 5 feet. pressing the button again retracts the blade.
When you attack a creature with this weapon and roll a 20 on the attack roll, that target takes an extra 14 force damage. Then roll another d20. If you roll a 20, you lop off one of the target's limbs, with the effect of such loss determined by the GM. If the creature has no limb to sever, you lop off a portion of its body instead.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
